helpless mum
walking back home today,
i saw a boy and a woman walking in front of me..
boy,
in his teens,
skinny,
walking alone,
white stick in his right hand...
lady,
in her 40's,
following closely behind, watching his every movement..
sounds like she's about to rob him?
no...
she is his mum...
mother and child..
i've had seen them walking together a week earlier...
she was holding his arm,
guiding him as he walked...
imagine this:
just last week,
your son could still see,
he could walk just fine...
this week,
he can't see any more...
he has to walk with the aid of a stick...
and you, as a mum, can only watch.
watching helplessly as he struggles.
can't describe how i felt right then...
my heart ached so bad
compared to him,
we are so fortunate...
so so fortunate...
being myopic means u can still see...
being myopic means u are not blind...
being myopic is nothing to being blind,
being myopic is nothing compared to watching your son struggle..
